Gifts and Receiving

Slavic & Eastern European Ordering

All firm orders for materials in Slavic and Eastern European languages are placed in the Gift and Exchange Division, and these materials, as well as all materials acquired on the Library's Slavic and Eastern European approval plans, are received in that Division. The work leader for ordering and receipt of Slavic and Eastern European materials supervises or performs all aspects of pre-order searching, order placement (via e-mail or conventional INNOPAC order slips), receipt, and invoice processing for:

• all books and serials, printed in English or the various national languages, ordered by the Library through exchange from partner institutions in the Russian republics and countries of the former Soviet bloc.
• all Slavic- and Eastern European language monographs and serials purchased by the Library from domestic or foreign vendors.
